Each digital signage play list should be entertaining at least, but there is a difference between fun and humor.
Tom & Jerry slapstick kind of fun draws attention but does not communicate. Humor however is communication.

It brings people together, it creates common interest and it bridges conflicts. Especially when your message is paradoxical or confronting the audience, a bit of humor will pave your path.

Adthink tips:

  • Too much humor inflates your authority and deflates your message.
  • A proper use is to position humor at the start in order to unfreeze the audience and at the end in order to punch line your message.
  • Humor gets boring when the audience is confronted many times with the same joke.
